Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho has this afternoon been pictured back training with his Liverpool teammates following a hectic summer transfer saga.
La Liga giants Barcelona’s chase of Coutinho was one of the talking points of the summer transfer window, with the Reds having rejected a number of big-money Blaugrana bids for the South American.
Jurgen Klopp and co. remained adamant throughout the saga that Coutinho was not for sale at any price, however, with the attacking midfielder’s dream move to the Camp Nou failing to materialise by the close of the Spanish transfer window last Friday night.
Coutinho had been on international duty for his country’s World Cup qualifying matchups with Ecuador and Colombia for the last ten days, coming off the bench in both as the Selecao secured their place at next summer’s showpiece in Russia.
And this afternoon, following months of intense speculation and questions surrounding whether he would ever pull on a Liverpool kit again, the former Inter Milan starlet has been photographed back at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground, alongside the rest of Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
