Pep Guardiola provides Sergio Aguero update ahead of Man City vs West Brom

Man City vs West Brom

Manchester City return to Premier League action on Tuesday evening.

The Citizens will play host to West Brom in an 8PM kick-off.

The clash should represent a fairly straightforward one for City to navigate, despite their rather average start to the campaign.

The Manchester giants currently sit 9th in the Premier League table, and, even with a win in their game in hand, the highest they could currently climb would be to 6th.

This comes with Pep Guardiola’s side having already dropped points in six of their 11 league outings this term – the latest of which came in the form of a drab stalemate with city rivals Manchester United over the weekend.

West Brom, meanwhile, sit in 19th spot, having won just once all season, whilst also being in possession of the worst defensive record in the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola on Sergio Aguero

Ahead of the Tuesday’s, Pep Guardiola held his latest press conference on Monday afternoon.

The Spaniard discussed a number of topics during the presser, including Sergio Aguero.

The Argentine has endured a nightmare 2020/21 campaign when it comes to injuries, and hasn’t featured in the league since October.

And, ahead of his side’s meeting with West Brom, it remains unclear if the hitman will feature.

Speaking this afternoon, Guardiola confirmed that Aguero did train today, but had missed the last few days, with a decision on his involvement vs the Baggies yet to be made:
