Pep Guardiola convinced Man City will beat UEFA ban & confirms he’ll make numerous changes vs Bournemouth

Brighton 0 – Manchester City 5

Manchester City put on a sparkling performance at Brighton on Saturday night in the Premier League.

The star of the show was Raheem Sterling, who scored a hat-trick for City in a 5-0 win at the Amex Stadium.

After Sterlingbroke the deadlock in the 21st minute, Gabriel Jesus doubled the lead just before the break.

Sterling made it 3-0 in the 53rd minute before Bernardo Silva got on the scoresheet three minutes later.

Sterling completed his hat-trick and the scoring with 9 minutes remaining.

Pep Guardiola convinced Man City will beat UEFA ban

City’s win at Brighton meant that the Sky Blues have mathematically confirmed their spot in the Premier League top 4 this season.

Put another way, Man United in 5th can no longer overtake City in the table.

But will Man United secure a spot in next season’s Champions League by finishing 5th in the league?

Currently, Man City are facing a 2-year ban from European football. However, City are set to receive the verdict on their UEFA appeal on Monday.

Speaking after the Brighton game, Pep Guardiola confidently predicted that Man City will beat UEFA ban.

Guardiola confirms he’ll make numerous changes vs Bournemouth

It’s another busy week at the Etihad Stadium.

Aside from awaiting the verdict of their UEFA appeal from the Court of Arbitration for Sport on Monday, City have another two matches coming up.

On Wednesday night, City host Bournemouth in the Premier League. While next Saturday, the Sky Blues face Arsenal in their FA Cup semi-final.

In his post-match presser after Brighton, Guardiola confirmed that he’s likely to make significant changes to his XI. Guardiola said:

Last game against Newcastle (we picked) one team. Today, another one.

A new four, fix, six players will play against Bournemouth.

And against Arsenal I’ll select what’s best for the team.
