Man City’s 2018/19
Manchester City had a simply superb 2018/19 campaign.
The Citizens earned a staggering 98 points in the league, the second-highest total in Premier League history.
As well as winning a second successive league title, City also lifted the FA Cup and League Cup.
This meant that Man City became the first male English side to win the domestic treble.
Guardiola on Spurs draw
Despite their superb campaign last time out, Pep Guardiola has faith that City can do even better this season.
City drew 2-2 with Tottenham last weekend, dropping their first points of the season.
While City didn’t win, Guardiola stated that the draw with Spurs showed that his side can do even better than last season:
“I don’t believe in statistics.
“I believe in the spirit, in what I can smell, and the way we are playing – and after the way we played against Tottenham I think we can do it.
“Even though we drew, that game showed we can do even better than last season.
“Our game last week was better than when we beat Chelsea 6-0 last season. The level was so good. It was incredible.
“If we maintain the way we are training and the competitive feeling between the players then we can try to be better.” As quoted by the Mirror.
Man City’s latest outing saw them beat AFC Bournemouth 3-1 on Sunday the 25th of August.
