Paul Pogba’s honest admission following Man United’s loss to Leicester

Leicester 4-Man United 2

Saturday was of course a day to forget for the Manchester United faithful.

The Red Devils would lose 4-2 to an out-of-form Leicester City, leaving them five points off the top of the Premier League despite it being less than 10 games into the season.

Man United’s performance, on the whole, was pretty poor, but the club’s fans, on the back of the clash, largely singled out two key figures for criticism.

These were manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and midfield star, Paul Pogba.

Paul Pogba’s honest admission

Pogba’s display in particular was a real concern for the Red Devils. The Frenchman was partnered alongside Nemanja Matic in a midfield pivot but failed to influence the game, particularly defensively.

Following the match, Pogba, who has less than a year left to run on his Man United contract, made a rather honest admission.

The Frenchman revealed his opinion that the Red Devils deserved to lose, with similarly dire performances having been far too frequent on the part of Solskjaer’s men:

“We deserved to lose. To be honest, we have been having these kind of games for a long time.

“We have not found the problem, conceding easy goals, stupid goals. We need to be more mature, play with more experience and arrogance in a good way. We need to find something, we need to change.

“We need to find the right mentality and the right tactic. Stick with it and resolve the problem.”

Pogba pointing such issues out is all well and good, but the midfielder did little to address the problems on the pitch across the 90 minutes.
