Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho

Paul Pogba finally talks about his ‘Jose Mourinho feud’

Paul Pogba vs Jose Mourinho

For more than a month, reports have been flying around claiming Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho have fallen out.

The backdrop to the rumours were Pogba’s performances for Man United.

It’s fair to say that Pogba hasn’t hit the high notes many expected from him this season.

That seems to include Mourinho, who left the French star on the bench for recent matches against Sevilla and Brighton.

Yet, when Pogba was away on French national duty, he showed what he can do scoring a brilliant free-kick.

Pogba on his Man United problems

On Sunday, a brand new interview with Pogba has aired on French TV show Telefoot.

In it, Pogba has dismissed claims he’s fighting with Mourinho at Old Trafford. With a grin on his face, the 100 million euro man said:

There is no problem with Jose Mourinho!

I am not the one who makes the team. You have to ask the coach if you want to know why I’m playing less. I respect his choices. It’s too early to talk about a Man United exit, the situation may change.

Will that silence the stories? That’s unlikely.

France & 2018 World Cup

Pogba also discussed how France could get on at the World Cup in Russia:

We have the potential to win the World Cup, we have a great team.

We have to work, but it’s going to be very hard. Just because we are the French national team, that doesn’t mean we will win all our matches 5-0!

France, of course, lost 3-2 at home to Colombia in the international break.

France have been pooled with Australia, Denmark and Peru in their World Cup group.
