Paul Pogba slated on Twitter following Man United’s loss to PSG

Manchester United 0-PSG 2

Man United hosted PSG in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie on Tuesday.

United will have been full of confidence heading into the game as they were yet to lose a game under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

PSG also had to come to Old Trafford without some of their biggest stars such as Edison Cavani and Neymar.

The first half saw very little action from both teams but United did lose both Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial to injury.

United’s evening went from bad to worse in the second half as Presnel Kimpembe put the French side 1-0 up in the 53rd minute.

Kylian Mbappe then doubled PSG’s lead just seven minutes later.

United now have to go to Paris next month with it all to do.

Paul Pogba ‘goes missing’ vs PSG

The defeat to PSG was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first as Man United boss.

After the loss, one United player, in particular, is being called out on Twitter for his poor display.

Paul Pogba was a very frustrating figure under his previous boss, Jose Mourinho.

Under Solskjaer though, Pogba looked to have rediscovered his best form and had scored eight and assisted five in his last nine league games.

Against PSG, however, Pogba seemed almost absent for much of the game with Marquinhos, a central defender by trade, outperforming Pogba all evening in the centre of the park.

Pogba would then round his evening off by being sent off in the 90th minute. Although, his second yellow card was quite harsh.

Twitter reaction

Here is some social media reaction to Pogba’s poor display.
