Paul Pogba & leaving Man United
Now on the other side of the world in Japan for an Adidas PR event, Paul Pogba has decided the time is right to speak about his Manchester United future.
Despite being under contract until 2021, Pogba has indicated that he wants to leave Old Trafford this summer.
Speaking to reporters, Pogba confirmed that he’s thinking about a new challenge:
I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else. I am thinking of this: to have a new challenge somewhere else.

Pogba’s transfer request to force Real Madrid move
Seizing on Pogba’s comments, Spain’s ABC have reported on how the Pogba saga may now unfold.
ABC claim that Pogba is prepared to hit Man United with a transfer request, in order to force through a move to Real Madrid.
Moreover, it’s claimed that Zinedine Zidane’s dream has been to “create a midfield with Pogba as a constructor and (Eden) Hazard as an offensive talent.”
Of course, Hazard was unveiled to the Real Madrid faithful this week following his move from Chelsea.
How much will Man United demand for Paul Pogba?
ABC tell their readers that the Glazers refuse to sell Pogba for less than 180 million euros.
However, the Spanish outlet predicts a potential problem on the horizon, as Real Madrid will not pay more than 125 million euros for Pogba.
Mino Raiola’s commission
Should Pogba leave Man United to join Real Madrid, one winner will likely be his agent Mino Raiola.
ABC consider how much commission Raiola could make out of the deal.
Interestingly, considering the difference in valuations between Man United and Real Madrid, ABC suggest that Raiola may have to lower his demands:
Raiola has already heard that if he wants the operation to go ahead, the first thing he should do is not charge 22 million euros commission, as he did in the transfer from Juventus to United three years ago, which was 110 million.
Sticking with the financials surrounding the possible Pogba deal, ABC also claim that the player will drop his wages from 15 million euros net a season, to eleven.
ABC report that Real Madrid have 4 requirements in order to sign Pogba:
1. Fee will not be over €125 million
2. Raiola agrees to waive his commission for the transfer
3. Pogba submits a formal transfer request to Man Utd
4. Pogba must accept a lower salary than his current one.
