Paul Ince on Man United, Paul Pogba, Jose Mourinho and a ‘total mess’

Man United need to get their house in order

Jose Mourinho and Man United have dominated the headlines in the last few weeks.

However, that’s not good for the club, and according to Paul Ince, they need to get their problems sorted and back in house before any more damage is done.

Ince backed Mourinho to stay at the club, but said that from Ed Woodward down, there are big issues.

United of course fell to defeat against Brighton, and are in big trouble according to the pundit.

He spoke with Paddy Power, and said:  “Other clubs and fans are having a field day at the minute, seeing what is happening at Man United. They’re becoming a laughing stock and falling behind.

“Everything at Man United from top to bottom is in turmoil and it shows.

“Should Mourinho leave? No.

“Should Man United as a club get their house in order? Absolutely.

“That’s the whole lot, from the top down, Ed Woodward, Jose Mourinho, Paul Pogba, everything is a total mess.”

No real game plan

Ince added that United have no real game plan, and that United fans are right to be worried.

After their 3-2 defeat at the hands of Brighton, United looked in big trouble, with even the players admitting their attitude was far from ideal.

“I can see now that fans are turning against Jose Mourinho and I can understand why.

“When you see Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham – they’re all playing the kind of football you expect from a Manchester United side.

“I watched the game on Sunday and I physically couldn’t see what Mourinho and United were trying to do.

“There was no game-plan whatsoever. He is a proven manager but the style he’s playing at United doesn’t suit the club and never will.”

Pogba issues for Mourinho

One of the biggest issues for Mourinho is of course Paul Pogba.

The midfielder and Mourinho seem to he getting on far better in recent days, but it seems that Mino Raiola is determined to antagonise United fans.

The ‘super agent’ made a dig about Paul Scholes, a United legend, and is someone former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson notoriously disliked.

Pogba and Mourinho will need to work together for the rest of the season, and Raiola may well make that difficult.
