Patrick Bamford takes on Leeds penalty duties after Klich’s West Ham miss
Bamford on penalties
Patrick Bamford appears to have gained even further value for FPL bosses, after the English striker stepped up to convert a penalty for Leeds against Burnley.
Previously, Mateusz Klich had been tasked with the Whites’ penalty duties, but, in light of his miss against West Ham, it appears that Marcelo Bielsa has handed responsibility to Bamford.

After finding the net on Sunday, Bamford became the joint-third fastest Leeds striker to reach 10 Premier League goals, after Mark Viduka and Tony Yeboah. At an FPL price of just £6.4 million, the 27-year-old’s value has only increased further on the back of developments versus Burnley.
Bielsa’s Christmas gesture
Bamford this weekend revealed that Marcelo Bielsa showcased his best Santa impression over the Christmas period, and provided gifts, in the form of a raffle draw, to the Leeds staff:
“To be fair, Marcelo actually does a raffle draw, everyone gets a ticket with a number on. It’s not for the players or the physio staff but the staff around the training ground like the people in the kitchen, the ground staff or in the offices,” said Bamford.

“They get a chance to win something. Last year the kit man won a car. It was a Golf or a Fiat or something. I don’t know if Marcelo bought it himself but he does the raffle so I’m presuming so.”
“Us players don’t play any part in it but he does it for the staff to keep them all included. It’s really nice. I’ve never heard of that before so it was brilliant when I saw it.”
Leeds have been a very welcome addition to the Premier League this season. Their attacking style of play and commitment to the cause for the entirety of the 90 minutes has led to some extremely entertaining fixtures.
Could it be the aforementioned positivity throughout the club’s ranks which is contributing to the Whites’ feel-good factor on the pitch?
