Paris Saint-Germain front five-team battle for exit-bound Mesut Ozil

Paris Saint-Germain are leading the chase to sign Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil, according to Ladbrokes.

The German sat out of Sunday’s 4-2 win in the North London derby due to a back issue.

Question marks have been raised over the player’s attitude with reports Unai Emery is unhappy with the player.

Ladbrokes Latest Betting: Mesut Ozil Next Club

Paris Saint-Germain – 7/4
Juventus – 9/4
Bayern Munich – 5/2
Chelsea – 4/1
Manchester United – 6/1

The Ligue 1 champions are the club leading the pursuit of the Arsenal playmaker at just 7/4.

Meanwhile, European heavyweights Juventus and Bayern Munich are also keen.

A reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo in Turin is at 9/4, whilst a return to Germany is valued at 5/2.

Chelsea and Manchester United have also emerged as surprise contenders to sign Ozil.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said:

“The Gunners look as though they’re preparing for life after Ozil and the betting suggests PSG are the most likely side to make a move.”

Would Arsenal feel the effects of Ozil’s departure?

The Gunners blew away Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in a scintillating display under Unai Emery’s new look Arsenal.

Aaron Ramsey’s impact off the bench was hugely impressive and begs the question: Why offload Ramsey over Ozil?

Earlier this season, the World Cup winner showcased his sheer brilliance during his side’s 3-1 win over Leicester City.

However, he has since failed to show up for the North London club; which has proven to be the story of his time at the Emirates.

His inconsistency has largely outweighed his undoubted talented over the years and reinvesting the money in a new signing wouldn’t be the worst idea for Emery.
