Franco Vazquez – A wanted man
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has seemingly turned his attention to Palermo’s 27-year-old attacking midfielder Franco Vazquez.
The Argentine born star was a key player as Palermo avoided relegation from Serie A and is garnering plenty of interest from Italy and further abroad.
Having previously combined with Paulo Dybala at Palermo, Juventus have been linked to him for some time along with fellow Serie A clubs AC Milan and Roma.
Tottenham interest confirmed
Palermo’s eccentric president Maurizio Zamparini revealed he had been in contact with Spurs over Franco Vazquz and set his price at €25m.
“I’m in contact with Tottenham for Vazquez and I requested €25m for him”, said Zamparini in a press conference today.
“I received some lower offers for Vazquez but he’s worth as much as Berardi. He’d be great wherever.
“At the moment it’s easier for him to go to England but right now the offers don’t come close to that €25m figure.”
