A terrible history
Crystal Palace fans are not in the best mood at the minute.
They’re struggling in terms of goals, and their forwards are just not doing it.
Christian Benteke is the man who’s getting most of the criticism, and it seems that they have a history of poor forwards.
In fact, someone has actually gone to the trouble of noting all their failed strikers.
Tom took to Twitter to explain his issue with their strikers, and just where the club have gone wrong in the past.
The thread explains it all in detail.
After reading it all, it’s easy to see he’s got a point.
I’m confident that no team in history has had as many banter strikers as Crystal Palace have over the last 20 years. A thread:

Every point is key
Of course, Palace will consider themselves to be at risk of being dragged into the relegation battle.
The Eagles narrowly avoided the drop last season.
While they will want to do better this time out, manager Roy Hodgson is cautious enough to know that may not be the case.
The club are desperate for goals.
They might not come from Christian Benteke.

Benteke is also out injured at the minute, which doesn’t help matters.
For a club like Palace, injury or suspension issues can hit them hard, and Hodgson will want to avoid them as much as possible.
Palace are currently five points above the drop zone, but they know a lead like that can vanish quickly.
