Ousmane Dembele included in Barcelona squad to face Villarreal

Barcelona vs Villarreal

Barcelona are set to take on Villarreal on Tuesday evening.

The Catalan giants head into the game in fairly poor form.

Barcelona are currently 8th in La Liga, having won just two of their opening five league outings this campaign.

Barca’s last game saw them lose 2-0 away to Granada.

As for Villarreal, they are currently 7th in La Liga, one point above Barca.

Should the Blaugrana come away victorious vs Villarreal, then they could move as high as 3rd in the table.

Ahead of the game, Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde is hoping that the fans will be behind his side once again:

“The fans have been behind us at both home games and we hope that’s the case again tomorrow versus a great team like Villarreal.”

Dembele in Barca squad

As Barcelona look to bounce back from their defeat to Granada, they have been handed a big boost on Monday.

Ousmane Dembele would play in Barcelona’s first league game of the season vs Athletic Bilbao, but he has been out of action since.

However, Barca confirmed on Monday that Dembele is back in the club’s squad to take on Villarreal.

Lionel Messi is also once again included, after the Argentine returned vs Granada, where he managed 45 minutes.
