Barcelona & Chelsea
Eagle-eyed social media followers have noticed how one Barcelona star took part in Chelsea’s Premier League title celebrations on Friday night.
A solitary strike from Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi earned the Blues a 1-0 win over West Brom which confirmed Antonio Conte’s charges as champs.
As could be expected, the Chelsea players celebrated their success in the away locker room at the Hawthorns.
It’s now been revealed that one Barca defender took part in the party through virtual means.
What’s the story?
As Spanish duo Cesc Fabregas and Pedro Rodriguez celebrated, they received a FaceTime call from Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba.
So cue the transfer rumours?
The 28-year-old has played in 49 matches for club and country this season, scoring once and chipping in with six assists.
Whether the defender will leave the Camp Nou this summer, however, is up for debate. Alba recently signed a five-year contract extension which keeps him with Barcelona until 2020.
