Barcelona 2 – Sevilla 1
Barcelona won an important match on Saturday night in their quest for the La Liga title.
The Catalans, top the league, took on early season high-flyers Sevilla at the Camp Nou.
The match was Leo Messi’s 600th for the Catalans, however their was a surprise hero on the night.
Paco Alcacer, who has often been derided during his time at Barca, popped up with a brace against Sevilla.
Alcacer has now scored nine goals for Barcelona in his last nine starts.
As for Sevilla, Guido Pizarro got the visitors on the board just before the hour mark.
Luis Suarez is in crisis
There’s no getting away from: Barcelona striker Luis Suarez is enduring a crisis.
After the Sevilla game, Suarez has now completed his longest barren run for Barca since he joined from Liverpool.
Suarez has experienced other rough patches in front of goal during his time in Spain. After he first started playing for Barca following a long FIFA ban for biting, the Uruguayan went five matches without scoring.
But he’s now eclipsed that drought after the Sevilla game.

Suarez last found the target on October 14 as he earned Barca a 1-1 draw away at Atletico Madrid.
Since, he’s failed to score in two 90 minutes appearances against Olympiacos, 90 minutes against Athletic Bilbao, 83 minutes against Malaga, and another 90 minutes against Sevilla.
That’s over 400 minutes without a goal for Suarez.
Luis Suarez is the reason why I drink every saturday night
