Chelsea 4 – Arsenal 1
Chelsea took on Arsenal on Wednesday in the Europa League final.
The first 45 minutes in Baku were rather uneventful. Neither side created many chances and the atmosphere was rather bland.
However, the second 45 certainly made up for it in terms of action.
Just four minutes into the second-half, Olivier Giroud would head Chelsea into the lead.
Pedro would double the Blues’ lead in the 60th minute, before Eden Hazard added a third from the spot just five minutes later.
Alex Iwobi would come off the bench to score in the 69th minute and give Arsenal some hope of coming back.
However, Hazard would squash those hopes just three minutes later, making it 4-1.

The Frenchman has since opened up on his move to Stamford Bridge.
During the interview, Giroud reveals that he knew going to Chelsea would be an improvement and that he would have the chance to win more trophies:
“It was an improvement going from Arsenal to Chelsea and I knew I would have the opportunity to win some more trophies.
“To win this Europa League one year after winning the World Cup is great for me.
“I’m a Blue, a proper Blue. It’s a new chapter of my career and it was very special to score. I am so proud of this team.
“I’m 32, nearly 33, but I feel like there is more and more to come. I am still hungry and I am looking forward to next year: playing in the Champions League and fighting for more titles.” As quoted by Chelsea’s official website.
