Sheffield United vs Man United
Manchester United will travel to Sheffield United on Sunday, as they look to put an end to their dismal away form in the Premier League.
The Red Devils have won just once on the road so far during the 2019/20 PL campaign, and that win came against a struggling Norwich side.
But United will likely be met with another tough test on Sunday, as Sheffield United have had a great start to the season.
The newly-promoted outfit have been in scintillating form since their promotion to the English top-flight.
Chris Wilder has the Blades playing some eye-catching football, and after 12 games of the PL season, Sheffield United are up to a very impressive 5th in the table.
As for Man United, they are 7th, one point adrift of Sheffield United.
Man United injury update
Prior to facing off with Sheff United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer held his pre-match press conference on Friday.
When speaking to the media, Solskjaer provided updates on Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba.
McTominay picked up an injury at the back end of United’s last clash with Brighton, and now Solskjaer expects the midfielder to be out for a little while:
“Scott will be out for a little while, still. He has not been training with us, he is still recovering and, hopefully, we can see him, maybe, around the time of Tottenham or [Manchester] City [next month].
“We don’t know yet. he heals quickly, Scotty, but he is not going to be ready for Sheffield United or Astana, definitely. Probably not [Aston] Villa either.”
OGS also stated that it will be ‘a little while’ before we see Frenchman Pogba:
“Paul is improving. Obviously he has been out and, when you are in a cast for that long, you do lose your muscle, so gradually you have to step it up. He has not started on his football work yet so it will still be a little while before we see him.” As quoted by Manchester United’s official website.
