Real Madrid are not messing about
Real Madrid have continued their incredible summer spending spree by completing the signing of Lyon defender Ferland Mendy today.
Los Blancos’ poor season in the last campaign has prompted plenty of change over the summer.
Real Madrid failed to impress in any of the competitions that they played in, including the Champions League, where they are considered an elite force.
Both Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari were sacked during the season, and Zinedine Zidane was eventually convinced to return.
Now, the Frenchman is going about his Real Madrid rebuild in style.
The Bernabeu side have already confirmed the signings of Rodrygo, Éder Militão, Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard.
Those alone could cost Los Blancos over €250 million.
Now, they’ve added another name to that list, with Ferland Mendy joining today.

Los Blancos’ spending spree continues
Real Madrid announced on Wednesday afternoon that they had completed the signing of Lyon’s Mendy.
The Frenchman impressed in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League during the last campaign, scoring three and assisting three from left-back.
That led to suggestions recently that Real Madrid had moved for the player.
Now, that deal is complete, with Mendy signing a six-year contract with Los Blancos.
Real Madrid also announced that Mendy will be presented as their latest signing next Wednesday at the Bernabeu.
The signing will raise some concerns that Marcelo could be on his way out of the club, with reports stating recently that he could leave.
