Sterling signs new Man City mega deal
Manchester City star Raheem Sterling has signed a new mega deal at the Etihad, thought to be worth in the region of £300,000-a-week.
The Englishman has become a pivotal player in Manchester City’s plans since moving from Liverpool.
The player signed for an eye-catching £49million and many questioned whether that was too much.
Safe to say, not many are doubting him these days as he continues to go from strength to strength.
Sterling scored 18 goals and assisted 11 last season and already has six goals and five assists to his name this campaign.
“It’s paid off and I’m really grateful”
Now, Sterling has been speaking about his new deal.
He has claimed that he knew from the minute he signed for Man City, he’d made the right decision.
“I’m delighted to sign,” he explained to Man City’s official website.
“My development here has been incredible.
“I felt from the minute I got here it was the right choice for me. It’s paid off and I’m really grateful.”

Manchester City’s Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain, has also been speaking about Sterling’s new deal.
He has claimed that the forward has ‘improved dramatically in the past two seasons’ and claims he is now one of the best attacking players in the Premier League.
“This is a significant moment for the Club,” he explained.
“Raheem has improved dramatically in the past two seasons and is now one of the Premier League’s best attacking players. His statistics tell their own story.
“He’s quick, strong and excellent in front of goal – everything a modern-day forward needs to excel.
“We’re all delighted he has committed his future to City.”
Raheem Sterling’s new contract will see him earn in advance of £300k a week if he hits his targets.
It’s a huge deal and well deserved. Gets a lot of stick but his career so far is an absolute success story with much more to come
