German giants Borussia Dortmund have this evening made Emre Can’s permanent signing from Juventus official.
On the back of an altogether-disappointing opening-half to the campaign, during which he managed just 2 starts across all competitions, it came as little surprise to see former Liverpool man Can tipped for a Juventus exit last month.
In the end, however, it was one of Bayern’s Bundesliga rivals who swooped to secure his signature.
On transfer deadline day, Borussia Dortmund confirmed that Can had made the move to the Westfalenstadion on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
Dortmund lock down Can
Can had since gone on to earn starts in each of his new side’s last 2 Bundesliga outings, versus Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The former, meanwhile, a 4-3 defeat, saw the German international find the net in stunning fashion, from 25 yards.

And, as outlined above, fans of BVB are set to be afforded plenty more opportunities to watch Can in action in the club’s colours over the seasons to come, after Dortmund made the all-action midfielder’s signing permanent a short time ago.
In an announcement across their social media platforms, the Bundesliga heavyweights, who are set to take on PSG in a Champions League last-16 first-leg matchup tonight, confirmed that they have activated a clause in Can’s loan deal, to make his arrival a permanent one.
The 26-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a 4-year contract with Lucien Favre’s men.
