West Ham & Simone Zaza
Italian striker Simone Zaza failed badly during his time at West Ham last season.
Zaza was a gigantic flop in England after arriving from Juventus last summer. So much so that his loan spell was cut short at the halfway mark.
In 11 appearances for the Hammers, Zaza failed to get a goal or an assist.
But all that’s changed recently for Zaza at his new club Valencia. So much so, that the former West Ham flop has now won a top La Liga prize.
Zaza: September’s best
It’s been announced on Wednesday that Zaza has been named the La Liga player of the month for September.
It’s the first time Zaza has ever won the award. But he earned the accolade after scoring four goals in the last month.
Zaza was the hero for Valencia against Malaga with a spectacular hat-trick in a 5-0. He also scored the winning goal in the thrilling match with Real Sociedad which ended 2-3 to Los Che.
Simone Zaza will collect the prize on the Mestalla pitch before the match between Valencia and Sevilla.

West Ham v Brighton
West Ham return to action on Friday night in the Premier League when they host Brighton.
Last weekend West Ham collected an away point at Burnley.
Andy Carroll will miss the Brighton game after he was sent off against at Turf Moor. That should see Javier Hernandez return to a more central role in the Irons attack.
Slaven Bilic is also waiting to see if centre-half James Collins is ready to come back into the fold after he picked up an ankle injury at West Brom.
