Torino vs Wolves
Wolves had a superb debut campaign back in the Premier League last season, that saw them finish in 7th spot.
Manchester City won both the FA Cup and League Cup last term. This meant that 7th spot became a Europa League place.
However, Wolves have had to go through a few qualifying rounds already, and they are not done yet.
So far, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have seen off Crusaders FC and Pyunik, playing two legs in both ties.
Wolves must now face Serie A outfit Torino over two legs, the first of which takes place on Thursday the 22nd of August in Torino.
Wolves squad update
Ahead of the game, Nuno Espirito Santo held his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.
During said press conference, Nuno gave a short update on his squad.
Matt Doherty came off at half-time on Monday, during Wolves’ 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
There have been reports that Doherty was injured during the United game.
But, regardless, Nuno stated on Wednesday that everyone in the Wolves squad is fit, and that Matt Doherty is OK:
“Everyone is fit, Matt Doherty is OK.”
