Nuno Espirito Santo provides Harry Kane update ahead of Tottenham’s meeting with Wolves

Wolves vs Tottenham

Tottenham are back in Premier League action on Sunday afternoon.

Nuno Espirito Santo is set to return to former club Wolves for the first time since departing the Midlands-based outfit earlier this year.

Spurs will head into the game having had a very mixed week to date. A strong squad would secure a huge 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Premier League last Sunday.

However, a heavily rotated Tottenham side then lost 1-0 to Portuguese minnows Pacos de Ferreira in a Europa Conference League qualifier on Thursday evening.

Nuno on Harry Kane

Following the defeat in question, Nuno spoke to the press late on Thursday evening.

During the exchange, the Portuguese was asked for an update on Harry Kane.

The forward missed his side’s win over Man City and the Conference League tie on Thursday, both for ‘fitness reasons’.

So, will Kane be available to face Wolves having had over a week to build his fitness?

When pressed on Kane’s situation on Thursday evening, Nuno gave little away when it comes to the striker’s potential involvement at the weekend, stating:

“He trained today. He trained with the group of players that stayed in England. He trained well and he is going to train tomorrow and when we return he will join all the players and work as the group and Harry in it.”
