Cristiano Ronaldo was the hero for Portugal last night. In the space of three minutes, a goal and assist from the Special Ron crushed Welsh dreams. Okay, the assist was really a weak shot at goal intercepted by his teammate. But luck had nothing to do with his header.
We’ve seen it before. Ronaldo can occasionally levitate.
He whipped out his signature superpower for the semi-final. The numbers behind his incredible leap were published by the Daily Mail today. These are figures that seem more fitting for an NBA match report, really.
There’s an image below that lists all of Ronaldo’s impressive stats. For those of you who fear pictures, we’ll also list them here. Big Ron leapt 2ft 6in into the air. This means that the 6ft 1in Ronaldo met the ball 8ft 7in in the air. His hang time was 0.7 sec.
