Pukki’s solid start
Teem Pukki has had a solid start to life in the Premier League.
While Norwich were hammered 4-1 by Liverpool on the opening day of the 2019/20 PL season, Pukki still managed to get himself on the scoresheet.
Norwich would face Newcastle in their following game, winning 3-1, with Pukki bagging all three of the Canaries’ goals.
Pukki would then score one and assist one in Norwich’s 3-2 loss vs Chelsea.
Pukki’s final PL game in August did see him go without a goal or assist, as Norwich lost 2-0 vs West Ham this past Saturday.
However, five goals and one assist in his opening four Premier League outings is still pretty impressive.
Pukki wins award
After such an impressive debut month in the English top-flight, Pukki was nominated for the PFA Premier League Player of the Month award.
Other players up for the award included Manchester City stars Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne.
However, on Monday the 2nd of September, Norwich have revealed via their official Twitter account that Pukki has been named the PFA PL POTM for August:

While Pukki has been in top form this season, Norwich as a team have not.
They head into the international break down in 19th spot in the English top-flight, with just three points.
Norwich’s first game back after the break is also a very tough test, as they get set to host Manchester City.
