Norwich vs Leicester prediction: Norwich 0-2 Leicester
Leicester have looked out of sorts for a while now, failing to win five of their last six in the league.
Friday’s game provides the perfect opportunity for Brendan Rodgers’ side to get their league form back on track.
Norwich have won just one of their last 14 Premier League matches and look all but destined for the Championship next season.
Norwich vs Leicester: Who will win?
Leicester are 8/11 favourites to win the match while a Norwich win is priced at 7/2. The draw can be backed at 11/4.
Norwich haven’t scored in any of their last three. Back a Leicester clean sheet at 7/4.
Jamie Vardy has now failed to score in his last nine appearances but will fancy his chances against the league’s whipping boys. Vardy is 13/5 to open the scoring and 4/6 to score anytime.
Norwich vs Leicester Premier League match preview
Bottom side Norwich host Leicester City at Carrow Road on Friday night. It was another hapless display from Norwich on Sunday as they suffered a 3-0 defeat at Wolves.
The only consolation for the Canaries is that the gap between them and safety – 7 points – did not widen.
Daniel Farke’s side have won four matches all season and are on 18 points from 27 played.
Unsurprisingly, Norwich have the worst home record in the league with 12 points from 13 matches. To their credit, Norwich’s last home match saw them put in a valiant performance against league leaders Liverpool, though they eventually lost 1-0.
Prior to that, Norwich won one and drew two of the previous three matches at Carrow Road.
Can Leicester pick up form for the run in?
Leicester suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Manchester City on Saturday. The Foxes have failed to win any of their last four in all competitions.
Despite their poor run of form, Leicester remain comfortably inside the top four – nine points above Manchester United. While second place is looking unlikely at this stage, they look certain to be in the Champions League next season.
Only Liverpool and Manchester City have picked up more points away from home than Leicester’s 23. Leicester also boast the second-best away defensive record. Leicester’s last away match was a 0-0 draw at Wolves.
Friday’s clash will be the sixth Premier League meeting between the sides. Norwich held Leicester to a 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium in December’s reverse fixture.
Teemu Pukki opened the scoring for the visitors before a Tim Krul own goal put Leicester on level terms. Norwich’s only Premier League win over Leicester came in 1994.
