Norwich City boss Daniel Farke has this afternoon confirmed that Teemu Pukki is set to miss the club’s FA Cup meeting with Preston, amid struggles with a pair of separate injury concerns.
Preston vs Norwich
The Canaries are set to get their latest campaign in English football’s premiere cup competition underway this weekend.
They face a potentially tricky trip to Championship outfit Preston North End tomorrow afternoon.
The FA Cup may well actually come as a welcome distraction for Norwich, as Daniel Farke’s men continue to struggle for Premier League form.
As things stand, the Carrow Road outfit sit dead bottom of the English top-flight.
This comes despite Norwich having not fallen to defeat in either of their last two outings, the latter of which saw the Canaries pegged back by a late Connor Wickham equaliser at home to Crystal Palace.
Norwich’s hopes of getting their FA Cup campaign off to a positive start, though, have today been dealt a blow.
Speaking a in a press conference this afternoon, Daniel Farke provided a fitness update on his squad.
And the main talking point surrounded star striker Teemu Pukki.
Finnish hitman Pukki, who has notched 9 Premier League goals this season, is struggling with a pair of injuries.
As such, he is set to miss out tomorrow afternoon, and is also viewed as a doubt to face Manchester United in Norwich’s return to league action in a week’s time.

On Norwich’s other attacking options, it is added:
‘The City boss also confirmed that Josip Drmic (hamstring) and Dennis Srbeny (back) will miss the game, meaning it’s almost certain that youngster Adam Idah will lead the line on Saturday.’
