Nobody can believe Edison Cavani’s astonishing miss vs Saint-Etienne

An agonisingly late Paris Saint-Germain goal prevented Saint-Etienne from taking all three points in Ligue 1 as Matthieu Debuchy turned in Thomas Meunier’s cross to cancel out Remy Cabella’s opener.

The former Arsenal man nodded the ball past his own goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier in the 92nd minute to save Unai Emery’s side from suffering just their third defeat this season.

The game was full of controversy which included a red card for PSG’s Presnel Kimpembe and an incredible miss from striker Edison Cavani which has stunned social media.

Cavani’s miss

The Uruyagian surprised the whole of the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard as he failed to stroke the ball home from just a few yards out.

PSG produced a wonderfully well-worked move only for Cavani to fail to convert into an empty net from just a few yards out, having been set-up by Angel Di Maria.

The 29-year-old will be hugely relieved that his side eventually managed to find an equaliser, but ultimately he has cost his side three points.
