Why no-one believes PSG’s Neymar & Edinson Cavani have made up

PSG 6 – Bordeaux 2

PSG scored six on Saturday in Ligue 1 in a straightforward win over Bordeaux.

The win has left PSG with a three point lead over Monaco at the top of the table heading into the international break.

The goals were shared around during the Bordeaux game.

Neymar headlined with a brace, while strike-partners Edinson Cavani and Klyian Mbappe also found the target.

Julian Draxler (up for sale in January?) scored a stunner, while Thomas Meunier netted the other PSG goal.

Penalty: Neymar & Edinson Cavani

A few weeks ago, a rift was seen on the field between PSG’s South American strikers.

Cavani pushed Neymar away from a penalty in a game against Lyon.

The Uruguayan’s penalty was subsequently saved, while a load of stories emerged about the fallout between the players in the dressing room.

Thiago Silva reportedly had to stop a fight after the Lyon game.

On Saturday against Bordeaux there were some interesting updates to the Neymar v Cavani story.

Neymar opened with a stunning long range free-kick, while he doubled his tally from the penalty spot.

That spot-kick seems to have confirmed that the Brazilian has taken that role over from Cavani.

But Neymar also helped out his South American team mate, teeing him up nicely for a goal.

The Cavani stare

One picture went viral during the PSG, Bordeaux match.

The image captured a hug between Neymar and Cavani, and the look on Cavani’s face gave off a message that they’ve yet to make up.

PSG fans, meanwhile, are unlikely to care either way as long as the club are winning like they are.
