Anthony Martial

No Martial, no Lingard: Man United’s confirmed squad vs Huddersfield

Huddersfield vs Manchester United

Nothing less than a win will do for Man United at Huddersfield on Sunday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are sixth in the Premier League table with 65 points.

United, along with Chelsea (68 points) and Arsenal (66 points), received a boost on Saturday when Tottenham (70 points) were beaten 1-0 at Bournemouth.

Huddersfield, of course, have long been relegated from the Premier League.

This will be the Terriers’ final home match in the top-flight this season.

Manchester United call on the kids

The Manchester Evening News once again sent their photographers out on Saturday to see which players have been called up for the Huddersfield game.

The big news is that Solskjaer has called up three teenagers for the away trip: Angel Gomes, Tahith Chong and James Garner.

All three youngsters have made fleeting appearances for Man United in the Premier League this season.

Exciting striker Mason Greenwood hasn’t been included in the squad as he’s currently sidelined with injury.

No Anthony Martial, no Jesse Lingard

Romelu Lukaku’s season has already been ended through injury.

The Manchester Evening News also report that neither Anthony Martial nor Jesse Lingard were with the United squad on Saturday.

Martial and Lingard both missed training earlier in the week.

Also missing from the group was United back-up keeper Sergio Romero.

Some have questioned whether David de Gea should remain as #1 following a string of mistakes in recent weeks.

The Spanish international looks set to retain his spot, with Lee Grant stepping up as the number two.
