Speaking after Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Huddersfield yesterday, Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has confirmed that he is indeed playing in a more advanced role for Chelsea this season.

‘I play a little bit more forward’
“I think it was important to start very well, I think we came in the game very well.
“We go into half time with two goals and I think we manage the game second half and it’s a good start to the season.
“Yes it’s a new manager, new system, I play a little bit more forward and I will give my best in this position for the team and I hope we can keep doing good things for the future.
“Ye it’s very true to be more offensive, to find the striker, to cause problems for the opponents and I think today start well and I hope for the next game vs Arsenal we can have a good result.”
Chelsea vs Huddersfield
Chelsea started their 2018/19 season with a trip to Huddersfield.
The Blues were by no means at their best, however, that did not stop them coming away 3-0 winners.
N’Golo Kante opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 34th minute when he found himself on the end of one of Willan’s crosses, which did show that the Frenchman was playing slightly more up the field under Chelsea’s new boss.
New signing Jorginho then doubled Chelsea’s lead on 45 minutes via a penalty after Marcos Alonso was brought down by Huddersfield’s Schindler.
Chelsea would then kill the game off in the 80th minute when Pedro slotted home their third thanks to an Eden Hazard assist.
Chelsea take on Arsenal in their next game and Kante will no doubt be hoping to get on the scoresheet once again now he is a more attacking midfielder.
