PSG 7 – Celtic 1
Neymar pulled off another brilliant Champions League performance against Celtic on Wednesday night.
The Brazilian superstar scored twice and bagged an assist as PSG ran riot against the perennial Scottish champions.
Celtic proved that “waking the beast” can be detrimental as they had briefly lead in the game from a Moussa Dembele goal.
Edinson Cavani & Neymar relationship under the microscope again
Dani Alves scored the pick of the goals and there is a clear part of the play in the build up to the seventh goal that shows all is not well at PSG.
Neymar makes a fine run into the box, crosses for Edinson Cavani who mis-kicks. Neymar’s reaction says it all. It would be a surprise if Cavani is at PSG next season at this rate.
PSG’s record this season in the Champions League is hugely impressive with five wins from five games and a goal difference of +23 having scored 24.
Don’t ask Neymar about Brazil 1 – Germany 7!
With Celtic showing such little resistance, the highlight of the night might well have come in the mixed zone.
Neymar was pretty spiky and did not like the questions asked by the Brazilian journalists waiting to hear from him.
First Neymar was asked about the fact the “coincidence” that this game finished 7-1 as did Brazil’s World Cup semi-final against Germany.
Neymar: “You never forget”
Neymar replied: “Once again you remember what happened, right. You never forget. I am happy for this match, for the victory. That is the most important thing, regardless of the score. Our team imposed a strong rhythm of play after we conceded a goal. We showed a good head, because conceding a goal at the start is bad, and it’s something to watch out for the next stage. But congratulations to everyone for today’s match.”
The world’s most expensive footballer was then asked about the negative news that has recently been published about him in the French press. With rumours of partying rife this week.
Neymar: “Good news does not sell. The media gets carried away with bad news and ends up putting too much. Now I want to see good news there, huh?”
Don’t ask Neymar about Real Madrid!
Then came the end of the interview, as Neymar was questioned about rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid.
Neymar simply replied: “Your’e too boring!” and walked off!
To show everyone his jacket paying homage to boxer Floyd Mayweather.
