Newcastle’s Fabian Schar is injured ahead of Arsenal

Arsenal vs Newcastle

Newcastle will travel to Arsenal this coming game week for their first fixture since the international break.

The Magpies will be eager to pick up all three points as they look to stave off relegation for another season.

Newcastle are currently seven points above 18th place Cardiff City but the Welsh side do have a game in hand.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have their eyes fixed on a Champions League spot.

Unai Emery’s side will start the weekend in 4th place.

However, they are just two points above Man United and three points above Chelsea.

Schar injured on international duty

Playing against Arsenal at the Emirates is no easy task for anybody and it now looks like Newcastle will have to do it without one of their best defenders.

Fabian Schar is currently on international duty with Switzerland.

Schar started Switzerland’s last game vs Georgia, which they won 2-0.

However, the defender suffered a nasty blow to the head and for some reason was allowed to finish the game.

However, Switzerland have now announced that Schar will be unavailable for their game vs Denmark.
