Newcastle vs Fulham betting tips: Premier League match preview & predictions

Newcastle vs Fulham prediction: Newcastle 1-0 Fulham

Fulham are still looking for their first away win of the Premier League season. They’ve picked up just one point in nine matches on the road.

Newcastle’s home record has been particularly poor this campaign but they have won two of their last four at St James’ Park.

Rafa Benitez has never lost a home Premier League match against Fulham, winning three and drawing one.

Newcastle vs Fulham: Who will win?

Newcastle are evens to win the match while Fulham are priced at 3/1. The draw is 13/5.

St James’ Park has witnessed just 14 goals in nine matches this season. Under 2.5 goals in the match is 10/11.

Salomon Rondon has been involved in five of Newcastle’s last seven goals in the Premier League. The Venezuelan is 5/1 to open the scoring and 8/5 to score anytime.

Newcastle host Fulham at St James’ Park on Saturday.

Fulham are bottom of the Premier League table as we approach the halfway mark of the season. Claudio Ranieri’s side suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to West Ham last weekend, conceding twice in the first half. The Cottagers are without a win in their last four.

Aleksandar Mitrovic faces his former club and will be key to any chance Fulham have of getting a result. The Serb’s seven league goals this season have been worth seven points for his club.

Fulham will still be in the relegation zone should they win on Saturday, although they could leapfrog Huddersfield depending on their result against Southampton.

Newcastle picked up their first win in four last weekend, beating Huddersfield 1-0 at the John Smith’s Stadium. Rondon’s second-half strike was enough to separate the two sides.

The win lifts the Magpies up to 14th, four points above the bottom three. Even if Newcastle win on Saturday they will be unable to move up in the table as Brighton are four points ahead.

Fulham have won their last two matches against Newcastle, both of those coming in the Championship. The two sides have met 24 times in the Premier League, with Fulham winning 12 and Newcastle winning 9.
