Newcastle see off Bournemouth
Newcastle played host to Bournemouth this past weekend.
After a fairly slow start to the season, the Magpies look to be finding their feet under Steve Bruce.
Newcastle had lost just one of their last four league outings before facing Bournemouth, and that solid league form carried over into Saturday’s tie.
The North-East outfit did find themselves 1-0 down in the 14th minute vs the Cherries.
But Newcastle fought back to earn a 2-1 victory. They are now up to 13th in the Premier League.

However, Newcastle did suffer one big blow in the win over Eddie Howe’s men.
Jamaal Lascelles had to be withdrawn 20 minutes into proceedings vs Bournemouth.
Newcastle have since confirmed that the centre-back suffered a knee injury on Saturday, and will be out until the New Year:
Newcastle United can confirm that Magpies captain Jamaal Lascelles will be out until the New Year after suffering a knee injury during Saturday’s 2-1 victory over AFC Bournemouth.
The central defender sustained the injury during the first half of the match and had to be replaced by Paul Dummett.

Lascelles will likely be a huge miss for Bruce’s side, as the defender has started in and captained Newcastle in all 12 of their PL games so far this term.
