Valentino Lazaro’s Inter Milan stint
Inter Milan would sign Valentino Lazaro last summer.
The Serie A outfit are believed to have paid just over £20m for the Austrian’s services.
The 23-year-old had previously been honing his craft in the Bundesliga with Hertha Berlin.
During his stint with Hertha, Lazaro scored five and assisted 13 in 65 appearances.
But since his move to Italy, the Austrian international has struggled for form and minutes.
Lazaro has amassed just six league appearances for Inter this term, as they look to put an end to Juventus’ Serie A dominance.
And in the 11 games he has played across all competitions for the Nerazzurri, Lazaro has yet to register a single goal. He has, though, played a fair few of those games on the right of Inter’s back five.
Lazaro is naturally a right-sided midfielder, but he is also capable of playing on the left.

Newcastle reach agreement for Lazaro
Now, just six months after joining Inter, it looks as though Lazaro’s time in Italy is drawing to a close.
According to Sky Sports News reporter Keith Downie, Newcastle United have reached an agreement with Inter over a loan move for Lazaro.
Downie claims that Lazaro will undergo his medical with the North East outfit on Friday.
Newcastle are also understood to have the option of making Lazaro’s loan a permanent transfer in the summer for a fee of £20m.

Lazaro’s links to Newcastle come on the same day that Inter announced the signing of Victor Moses on loan from Chelsea.

Like Lazaro, Moses played largely on the right of a back five under Antonio Conte, when the Italian was in the Chelsea dugout.
