Newcastle 0 – Fulham 0
Few will remember Newcastle’s 0-0 draw with Fulham come the end of the season.
On the same day that Man City and Chelsea were both beaten at home, Newcastle’s stalemate with the Cottagers could easily be ignored.
But for the Magpies, they will be spitted feathers for some time about one call which went against them.
Newcastle will feel they were denied two crucial points against the bottom side in the league.
The result left the Toon in 15th place with 17 points from 18 games. Fulham now have 10 points from 18 games.
Martin Atkinson didn’t award Kenedy a penalty
In the 74th minute, Newcastle should have won a penalty.
A cross was swung into the mixer by Matt Ritchie, and is was headed towards Kenedy in the box.
Kenedy made an honest attempt to win the header, however he was impended by Fulham’s Joe Bryan.
Joe Bryan appeared to clearly tug at Kenedy as he was airborne.
As a result Kenedy missed the ball and ended up on the deck.
Rafa Benitez was apoplectic on the sidelines believing it should have bene a penalty.
But referee Martin Atkinson didn’t give the decision.

How the hell was that foul on Kenedy not given as a penalty? Absolutely blatant. Why do refs hate us? #NUFC
