Living with regret
There are new reports emanating out of Spain suggesting that Neymar regrets his move to Paris Saint-Germain and is looking to return to Barcelona ‘sooner rather than later’.
The Brazilian left the Camp Nou back in 2017 after PSG triggered his €222million release clause.
He should have been the star of his own franchise, out of the shadow of Lionel Messi and in with a chance of winning the Ballon d’Or.
Instead, while his performances have remained impressive, it’s not gone that way.
That is because the emergence of Kylian Mbappe has left Neymar in the shadows once again.
He and PSG have also shown little convince people they can win the Champions League soon.
Now, he regrets his move according to the latest reports.
Is a Barcelona return on the cards?
Mundo Deportivo are reporting on Wednesday afternoon that the player is even looking to return to the Camp Nou.
Their journalist Fernando Polo and editor Sergi Sole explain that:
“He fell in the last Champions League against Real Madrid without his PSG giving the stature in eighths and in the last Kylian Mbappé, a 19-year-old kid, is shadowing him.”
They even suggest that due to his regret of leaving, ‘he has already offered several times to return to FC Barcelona sooner rather than later.’
Finally, Mundo Deportivo report that a deal is certainly not impossible and suggest Barcelona’s top management could be willing.
“An option that is known very complicated but not impossible, at least by the will of the Barca top management.”
Safe to say, if we all thought a move to PSG was impossible, this would be equally as incredible.
