Napoli handed double injury boost ahead of Arsenal

Serie A outfit Napoli have this afternoon announced Carlo Ancelotti’s 21-man squad for the club’s meeting with Genoa tomorrow night.

Napoli vs Genoa

The Partenopei are set to welcome Cesare Prandelli’s men to the Stadio San Paolo, for their latest league outing.

Napoli will head into proceedings desperate for a bounce-back performance, on the back of a hugely-disappointing 2-1 defeat at Empoli on Wednesday night.

Their latest result means that defeat for Carlo Ancelotti’s side tomorrow night, coupled with a Juventus victory over AC Milan tonight, would see the Bianconeri clinch the Serie A title with a hefty 7 fixtures remaining.

Insigne returns

In a boost to Napoli’s prospects not only for tomorrow, but also for their Europa League quarter-final first-leg matchup with Arsenal next week, though, the return of a pair of key players to the Partenopei’s squad have this afternoon been confirmed.

Lorenzo Insigne and Faouzi Ghoulam are the stars in question, both of whom have been sidelined with respective injuries over the last couple of weeks.

Insigne is not expected to start versus Genoa, but could be introduced off the bench as the Italian attacker works towards regaining full fitness.

Arsenal loanee David Ospina, meanwhile, who collapsed on the pitch after picking up a nasty head injury during Napoli’s 4-2 win over Udinese ahead of the international break, is also back in the club’s 21-man squad:
