Naby Keita is now a doubt for Liverpool vs Huddersfield on Saturday and gives Jurgen Klopp yet another injury to deal with.
Heading into the weekend, Klopp could be forced to rest several of his major stars.
James Milner was forced off in Liverpool’s last league game vs Manchester City and is still on his way to returning to full fitness.
Mohamed Salah would then suffer a sprain while on international duty with Egypt.
The Daily Mirror is suggesting that Salah could be back in time for Huddersfield.
However, the winger may not be 100% match fit for Saturday.
Furthermore, Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk withdrew from the Holland squad earlier this week and returned to Liverpool.
After he withdrew from the Dutch national side, Netherlands boss Ronaldo Koeman claims that van Dijk has been playing with broken ribs.
“Virgil has played with two broken ribs in the last weeks.”
Liverpool vs Huddersfield
As a result of all these injuries, Liverpool may be forced to take on Huddersfield with a much-changed squad.
The Reds head into the game joint top of the Premier League along with Manchester City and Chelsea.
Klopp’s side have won six and drawn two in their eight league games this season.
Huddersfield, on the other hand, come into the game 18th in the league.
The Terriers are without a league win this season having drawn three and lost five in the league.
