Morgan Sanson explains angry reaction after kicking bottle into Aston Villa crowd
Aston Villa star Morgan Sanson has taken to social media on Saturday night, to provide an insight into his emotional reaction to being hauled off during the club’s meeting with Manchester United.
Coutinho secures a point
Sanson was part of the Claret and Blue line-up which played host to United earlier this evening.
After being sent packing from the FA Cup at the hands of Ralf Rangnick’s men earlier this week, Villa faced off with the Red Devils once more, eyeing revenge in a Premier League showdown.
And though, when all was said and done, they didn’t quite manage that, Steven Gerrard and co. did emerge from proceedings much the happier of the two sides.
This comes with visitors United, with a full 77 minutes on the clock, having looked on course for all three points, owing to a Bruno Fernandes brace.
Upon Jacob Ramsey pulling one back inside the closing quarter of an hour, though, Villa Park was sparked into life, ultimately culminating in debutant Philippe Coutinho securing a deserved share of the spoils for the hosts late on:

‘Big apologies’
Whilst January arrival Coutinho enjoyed a day to remember, though, the man whom he replaced on the pitch in the 2nd-half, in the form of Morgan Sanson, will likely hope to quickly put developments in the West Midlands on Saturday firmly behind him.
This comes with the Frenchman, after seeing his poor pass capitalised on in ruthless fashion in the buildup to United’s 2nd of the day, having allowed his frustrations to get the better of him.
Upon seeing his number flash across the 4th official’s board, Sanson kicked a bottle on the sideline, which landed amongst the home support in attendance.
In turn, taking to social media this evening, the talented midfielder was keen to provide an explanation, and apology for his actions.
Sanson has revealed that disappointment with his personal role in Bruno Fernandes’ brace led to him lashing out, whilst assuring that ‘it wasn’t voluntary’:
Congratulations to the team for the excellent reaction 👏🏼 Sorry for the second goal I cost but especially big apologizes for the bad reaction I had with the bottle that landed in the crowd of course it wasn’t voluntary… 1/2 pic.twitter.com/77xs2jX0l7

…. Obviously it was due to my immense frustration at leaving the team at 2-0! I really wanted to apologize to every one for that.. 🙏🏼 Now back to work and head up!! Thank you all for the support 🙌🏼💜 #UTV 2/2
