Mohammad bin Salman & Manchester United
Is Mohammad bin Salman about to buy Manchester United?
The Sun on Saturday have revealed a potentially explosive story regarding the Red Devils.
According to the tabloid, Saudi Crown Price Mohammad bin Salman is keen on buying out the Glazers at Manchester United.
The Sun say MBS could pay £3.8 billion to buyout the American owners.
Should that happen, the Sun estimate the Glazers could make £2.2 billion from their investment at United.
How likely is the Man United takeover?
The Sun are keen to make out that the Glazers are keen on selling to MBS:
Sources around Old Trafford have always denied the Glazers want to sell, but the mega offer could be too good to turn down.
It’s also worth noting that there’s a caveat to the huge valuation for the club:
The £3.8bn valuation is dependent on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer delivering Manchester United a place in next season’s Champions League, with a deal unlikely to be agreed before their qualification is confirmed.
Should United fall short, a compromise is likely to be reached on a lower valuation.

Would Man United fans protest MBS?
There seems to be a lot of water to pass under the bridge before MBS’s possible Man United takeover becomes a reality.
But even if the rumours prove true, would Man United fans allow the deal to happen?
Man United are listed on the New York Stock Exchange. That means any buyout would materialise provided procedures are followed.
Yet Mohammad bin Salman would likely attract many detractors.
Last year MBS was implicated in the Jamal Khashoggi killing at the Saudi embassy in Istanbul.
