Mohamed Salah wins CAF award
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah was the big winner on Tuesday night in Dakar, Senegal.
Salah won the 2018 CAF player of the year award at the African football gala event.
Salah has now won the title for two years in a row.
Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane and Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also made the three-man shortlist for the award.
Salah posted the following picture on social media.

After winning their awards, Liverpool’s Salah and Mane enjoyed themselves on the stage.
With a band playing music alongside, the Liverpool duo showed off their dancing skills while holding their trophies.

CAF: Best African XI 2018
The African team of the year was also named at the CAF ceremony.
Uganda’s Denis Onyango, who plays for South African club Mamelodi Sundowns, was picked in goal.
Serie A stars Mehdi Benatia (Juventus and Morocco) and Kalidou Koulibaly (Senegal and Napoli) were selected in the back four.
Tottenham’s Serge Aurier (Ivory Coast) was the right-back, while Man United’s Eric Bailly (Ivory Coast) also made the cut.
Liverpool’s Naby Keita (Guinea) and Man City’s Riyad Mahrez (Algeria) made up two-thirds of the midfield.
Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey (Ghana) completed the trio.
Up front, Liverpool’s Salah (Egypt) and Mane (Senegal) were named alongside Arsenal’s Aubameyang (Gabon).
