Elneny injured v Sutton
Arsenal’s FA Cup win against Sutton was overshadowed by Wayne Shaw’s pie-eating stunt – not that the Gunners were going to get much credit for beating a team from the 5th tier of English football.
The game was a no-win scenario for Arsenal at any rate, and luckily for them they avoided the potential banana skin, eventually winning the game 2-0.
But it came at a cost, as Egyptian international Mohamed Elneny was forced off injured.

And the defensive midfielder has now revealed the extent of his injury via social media.
Well, sort of – pictorially at least.
Elneny has tweeted a picture of his left foot covered in a pretty sizable cast.
He didn’t include any information on the actual injury, but it’s safe to assume that he’ll be out for at least a couple of weeks with what looks like a heavy sprain at the very least.
After Cazorla was ruled out for the rest of the season, Arsenal really needed another midfield injury setback like a hole in the head.
