One of the stories doing the rounds on the final day of the Premier League season centred on the future of Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

While it’s largely been a disappointing season at Old Trafford, the major positive of the campaign has revolved around the emergence of the next generation of United stars.

Anthony Martial, still just 20, has proven a shrewd signing in attack, while three players have burst onto the scene from the academy.

Has Cameron Borthwick-Jackson signed a new deal?

Marcus Rashford has stolen most of the plaudits in his debut season in attack, while Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson have both grabbed their opportunities to shine in the defence.

The Mirror on Sunday proudly announced today that Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has agreed a deal to stay at Old Trafford:

Manchester United youngster Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has agreed a new four-year deal with the club.

Earlier this month, Borthwick-Jackson was voted United’s Under-21 Player of the Year, having played a key role in Warren Joyce’s side winning the Under-21s league.

Sounds great, right. But is it true?

Neither the club nor CBJ have confirmed the news on any of their available channels, while reports are also spreading that the Mirror’s report is wrong.

That doesn’t mean that Borthwick-Jackson will not agree a new deal, just that it’s not happened yet.
