Manchester United exit
Mino Raiola was coy when asked about Paul Pogba’s future, and noted that the player has to be the one to answer any and all questions about his future.
Pogba has been heavily linked with Barcelona this summer, and it seems that while United are set to keep hold of him this summer, a move in the future isn’t out of the question, especially if Jose Mourinho remains manager of the club.
Raiola said to the Daily Mail: “I will never make declarations about Paul.
“You have to speak to Manchester United.”
Mourinho has failed to speak about the player in glowing terms, even after the World Cup win for France – something Pogba was a key part of, and if Mourinho stays, it may see Pogba forced to leave the club.
However, given it’s Mourinho’s third season and history has dictated troubled waters at this point in each of his previous clubs, Pogba may decide to wait his current manager out.
United haven’t splashed the cash this transfer window, bringing in only Fred and Dalot, with Mourinho asking for one more signing before the window closes on Thursday, and noting ‘My CEO knows what I want’ in a last gasp effort to put pressure on the board.
It may work, with United looking at both Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweireld, yet bids for the duo seem to be some way off, with time running out.
