Matthijs de Ligt: Liverpool or PSG
Spanish daily Sport have a picture of Ajax centre-half Matthijs de Ligt on their cover on Wednesday.
The paper also features the badges of five of Europe’s top clubs around the Dutch teenager.
They are PSG, Barcelona, Man United, Juventus and Liverpool.
When it comes to the details of the de Ligt transfer race, Sport claim that the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, wants his client to either join Liverpool or PSG.
‘The final battle for De Ligt’
Barcelona, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Liverpool are all battling over the signature of Matthijs de Ligt. The 19-year-old Ajax captain is expected to decide on his future after the #NationsLeague.

Going through de Ligt’s options
Starting with eight-time reigning Serie A winners Juventus, Sport claim that they are “close”.
The same can’t be said for Man United, who Sport say have been “ruled out” in the race to land de Ligt.
PSG are listed as having presented a “dizzying offer” for the Ajax defender.
On Barcelona, it’s reported that the Catalans are unwilling “to lose their head” when it comes to signing de Ligt. That’s an indication that Barcelona might not be successful in completing the transfer.
Lastly, on Liverpool, Sport position the Champions League winners as Barcelona’s “bigger competitor”.
Should de Ligt move to Anfield, he’d play alongside Dutch international team-mate Virgil van Dijk.
How likely is it that Liverpool sign de Ligt?
On Tuesday it was the turn of Germany’s Bild to link Liverpool with de Ligt.

Despite the fact that the papers keep pushing the rumour, though, the overriding sense is that the Ajax captain won’t be switching to Anfield.
The likes of Guillem Balague have recently reported that Liverpool are unlikely to sign de Ligt.
