Mino Raiola & Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Swedish paper Expressen have an exclusive interview on Sunday with one of the world’s most powerful men in football: Mino Raiola.

Raiola is well known to all Man United fans.

That’s after four Raiola clients moved to the Theatre of Dreams in recent times: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku.

Expressen used their time with Raiola to discuss a wide range of topics including how Ibra is preparing to return to the field.

‘God sent me Zlatan Ibrahimovic’

During the Q&A, Raiola gushes continuously about Zlatan.

The former pizza boy told the story how he got together with the Swedish star, while he claimed “I think God sent Zlatan to me”.

On the Man United forward’s comeback from an ACL injury, Raiola is convinced that Ibra will return to action even stronger than before.

Asked about reports that scientists want to study Zlatan’s incredible knee, Raiola said the following:

Yes, they want to. (Dr. Freddie Fu) says so. He says he has never seen such a strong and pure knee after such a long career as Zlatan has. Imagine all the bangs.

This is a professor who takes care of athletes from all over the world and works with an American football team. He says he has never seen anything like 40 years. It’s the best knee he has ever seen.

Ibrahimovic’s future

Looking ahead, Raiola believes that Zlatan, who is 36, is far from retirement.

Unbelievably, the super-agent believes Ibra can carry on playing for many years to come:

He has so much in him. I think minimum another five or six years. I won’t let him stop He has to work for me now. I have been working for him for several years. Now it’s my turn. My children are grown up and I need money.

We have agreed that he is only working for me for five years now. So we’ve flipping it now. The salary comes to me and he gets the commission.

Zlatan as a coach

Looking ahead to when Ibra finally retires, Raiola discussed whether Zlatan could be a coach.

The super-agent feared for players who could work under the Swede:

F*ck… God help the ones who get him as a coach! I want to see the player who says Zlatan does not know what he is talking about.

If there is a meeting, I want a hidden camera there!
