Whilst in Dubai, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta sat down to answer a number of questions for the club’s official website.

One topic that came up during the interview was Arsenal’s new signings.

The north London outfit brought in two senior players during the January transfer window. That duo was Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares.

Neither of those players would feature in any capacity in Arsenal’s last game vs Burnley on February 2nd.

So, when speaking to Arsenal’s website, Arteta was asked if he is optimistic of having Cedric and Mari available after the break, to which the Spaniard responded:

“With Pablo a little bit more than Cedric, but we have to go step by step. He is a new player and I am sure he is very excited and wants to prove everything in three days, so we have to manage him wisely.” As quoted by Arsenal’s official website.

Arsenal vs Newcastle

Arsenal will welcome Newcastle United to the Emirates on February 16th, for their first clash following the break.

Currently, the Gunners are sat 10th in the Premier League table, 10 points adrift of a Champions League place.

Arsenal are actually undefeated in 2020 across all competitions, but the north London outfit have drawn far too many games.

In fact, Arsenal have drawn their last four league outings, a run they will no doubt be keen to end vs 12th placed Newcastle.
